Android Q is in beta, but its successor Android Pie 9.0 is at present, the latest Android version. This version is packed with features. Gesture Navigation
 In older Android, you get the standard back, home, and recent button. But Android Pie is based on a new navigation system. After updating you will also see the old buttons. And the steps are:
•    Go to Settings and then click on System.
•    After that, go to Gestures and swipe upwards on the home button.
Security features
Security features are updated in this version. This version blocks microphone and camera access for apps that are not being used. Here the steps are given below:
•    Open Settings and click on security and location.
•    Now you can see lock screen preferences and press show lockdown option.
•    Press lockdown and it will lock your phone. Fingerprint unlock as well as Smart Lock will get disabled.
To unlock your Android phone, you will need to enter the PIN, password, or pattern.
Latest screenshot shortcut
The old way to take a screenshot like press power+volume down button is tricky. But in Android Pie, you can easily take a screenshot with power menu button.
 Dark mode optional
Previous Android version included a dark mode feature. But this feature was turned on only according to your wallpaper. But now you can enable it yourself.
•    Go to Settings and click on System.
•    Select Display and press Advanced. After that, click on Device theme.
How can you upgrade Android 8.0 to Android 9.0
This is a simple step to rolling Android 9.0. There are some instructions followed like minimum phone charging is 50% and make sure your phone is connected to Wifi. Then go to Settings and press about phone option and click check for updates. If updates are available, you can install them.
