How to Fix Excel Spreadsheet Filtering Issues?

what he can do to fix it. So, here are the steps to fix Excel table filtering.
Choose the Entire Column to Apply the Filter
In case the user wishes to choose the entire column to apply the
filter, then they can pursue the mentioned instructions.
- You should choose the table’s entire spreadsheet column by
selecting the letter of the column.
- Go to the Data button and click on it.
- After that, select the Filter option to save the filter to the
entire column.
- You have to select the cell filter arrow icon to launch the
filtering buttons displayed straightly under.
- Now, unselect the Blanks boxes to leave out the blank cells.
Remove Empty Cells from the Column of Table
Optionally, you should clear rows from a column of the table to
contain values under the blank cells from the filter. Choose all the blank rows
of cells by pressing the Control button. Thereafter right-click on it and
choose the Delete button.
Ungroup Sheets
The Filter button will be greyed out if the sheets are grouped
each other. Thus, you should not filter spreadsheet tables in grouped
sheets. To solve that, right-click on the grouped sheets at the lower side of
the Excel and choose the Ungroup sheets.
Unprotect the Worksheet
In case the user wants to unprotect the
worksheet, then abide by the provided steps.
- You should click on the Review option of
Excel.
- After that, hold the Unprotect sheet
option.
- When an Unprotect sheet screen launches,
input the password for the worksheet in the text section.
- Now, select the OK option.
Unmerge Cells
In case the user wishes to unmerge cells, then
they can pursue the mentioned instructions.
- Hold the Control + F keys at the same time
on your system.
- After that, select the Format option at
the ‘Find and Replace’ screen.
- You should click on the Merge cells on the
Alignment section displayed straightly below.
- Go to the OK tab and click on it.
- Click on the Find All option.
- After that, the Find and Replace screen
will list all the cell suggestions with merged cells.
- If you would like to unmerge the unmerged
cells, choose a merged cell.
- Go to the Merge and Center option on the
Home section.
- Now, choose the Unmerge cells option.
Configure a Fresh Filter
In case the user wants to configure a fresh
filter, then abide by the provided steps.
- In case you find unfiltered rows in the
table, then try setting up a new one through the Data section.
- You should click on the Clear option from
the Sort and Filter group.
- Go to the table’s whole column range using
the cursor.
- Now, select the Filter option on the Data
section of Excel.
